Re-Elect...You Sure About That?

Notice anything wrong with this sign?

Here's a hint...Alderman Pickard was never elected, she was APPOINTED by our Board of Mayor and Aldermen after Ted Roop vacated his seat.

So, shouldn't the sign say this?

Had re-apportionment not happened, it sure would have. Then again, when you order identical signs as your voting/campaign partner Alderman Cantrell, these sort of things sometimes happen.

On a lighter note, I'm laughing because I've yet to see a design, including my own signs, that don't have stars. I noticed the "re-elect" phrase right away. God bless her. Be looking for a "meet and greet" invitation from me soon.

That is hilarious.

Does anybody else remember if Sharon ran by herself last election, meaning we didn't have a choice in whether she was elected or not? Can you ask for re/election when you never were elected in the first place? I know I didn't vote for her after she was demoted from being a principal at my child's school. Gorilla ITC, you may want to check inot that and the lawsuit that she filed afterwards against Maury County. There might be some more depositions thaan you know of available for public knowledge.

Cantrell did run unopposed in 2003.

Anybody else notice the Sharon Cantrell and Tommy Duncan signs on the same properties???

Maybe they are teaming up?

Maybe the "little" click of Cantrell, Pickard, and McCulloch puppeteers are twisting some arms.

Don't you mean clique?

Recently, an anonymous poster made some comments regarding the state of disrepair of a certain historical home on Main Street. While this person’s posts were specifically aimed at a certain individual (and were subsequently removed by the owner of this blog forum), there is some insight to be found in observing where our candidates for city alderman live. A very wise and influential man once said, “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.” There is wisdom in seeing the conditions in which our candidates live. If they are faithful in keeping their own property and finances well managed, there is reason to believe that they will do the same for our city. If they fail to make wise and responsible decisions regarding their own property and finances, there is good reason to believe that they will fail to make wise and responsible decisions for our city. So find out where your candidates live and drive by their residences. Determine if you like what you see. If you don’t, then chances are you won’t like how they care for our city either.

RunnerBoy,

This comment???

Cantrell votes against a Historic Commission but is a preservationist. WHAT!!! You have let the historic home you live in look like trash, needless to say the lavender house next door is even worse. Furthermore, I don't know to many preservationists who have trailer parks in their back yard.....Makes me sick everytime I drive down Main Street to see such potential turned into a DUMP!!

Dangit, Runnerboy, now I've got to go out and buy a bunch of mulch, flowers and maybe a nice rock waterfall. Thanks a lot... :-)

All I'm sayin' is... I'm not a rich RunnerBoy... and I don't drive a new car... but at least I keep up my house because I value my property and my neighbors' property as well. No need for fancy waterfalls or iron gates... Just a home that complements and/or adds to the neighborhood is sufficient ;) If we truly care for our city, then we will care for the part of our city that we own. That's all I'm sayin'

Sharon Cantrell is out to lunch if she thinks that she represents the majority of Spring Hill. She is also anything but concerned about fiscal responsibility, and if she is a preservationist than I am the Pope.

That lady has got to go.
