Worth coming out of hiding for...The return of Ceja Kingsley

Cindy Williams (CPA12345) says:
During the administration of Mayor Williams the city lived within its means [in deficits that nobody knew about].....Mr. Schoenbrodt, I congratulate you for having the courage to tell [your version of the] truth about Spring Hill....our city leaders could easily carry out the promise of the Taxpayer Bill of Rights by holding a city wide voting referendum in Nov [breaking state law, just like they did when they tried to change the Mayor term from 4 years to 2 years. Because under Mayor Williams, that's how we rolled.].

From the Tennessean 'Your Voices' segment on Readers share their ideas to trim government budgets:

CPA12345 wrote:
Simply put......government should provide for citizens only what they cannot provide for themselves(streets, water, sewer, police protection). Anything else provided today by governments is purely wants(not needs) of elected leaders over the years when city or county revenues exceeded expectations. Governments must live within their means and instead of spending hours and hours at meetings discussing the raising of our tax rates, elected officials must cut out "all" of the services that citizens can and should provide for themselves. Our continually "growing" of government is not only bad business for government, but also harms private sector businesses who provide the same services.

Spring Hill [Brentwood], Tn

Sounds pretty good. What else has Cindy Williams (aka CPA12345, aka Ceja Kingsley) said on the Tennessean website about Spring Hill??

See below to see her tee off on:
Mayor Leverette (of course), The current board, Citizens for Spring Hill Hospital, Jill Wiersma, Alderman Duda and...Vice Mayor Johnson

At the same time, she praises:
Mayor Williams, Charlie Schoenbrodt and Susan Zemek

I guess it is still pretty easy to keep tabs on Spring Hill politics from that Brentwood address. Some people in this city will just never run out of venom.

I have a question for Ms. Williams/Colette/Kingsley/CPA12345, or anybody else (feel free to chime in Charlie) who can answer:
Who's signature is that on the FORGED budget ORDINANCE and who doctored the agendas and meeting minutes to make it look like the board passed the FORGED budget ORDINANCE when the deficits REALLY began?

After reading the article written by Jill Wiersma I feel compelled to ask the sources of the monetary amounts listed. At one point Ms. Wiersma states according to Alderman Duda, however no certified reliable source is listed as a provider of the financial data. It is my understanding that yearly city audit financial data by local licensed CPAs, state audit financial data, Alderman Duda data and city manager Ken York financial data all contain substantially different general fund amounts. Which data is represented in this article (average of the above, data that favors present administration, toss of a coin to pick data, etc.?) and why isn't a data source listed?

What delusion is this guy living in? There was never a much of a surplus after the investigations into the accounting at city hall. Ray Williams made tax cuts that started the problems in the first place.

Lucy .......where have you been for the past ten years? Ray Williams put Spring Hill on the map by lowering city taxes a only couple of cents per year which strengthened and empowered the economics of Spring Hill. Everytime a government raises taxes, even by one cent, they hurt the economics of the area they govern.....do your research and you will be able to confirm. During the administration of Mayor Williams the city lived within its means.....you know.....what most of us folks have to do to in order to survive. Mr. Schoenbrodt, I congratulate you for having the courage to tell the truth about the Spring Hill.

Yes,, Lucy...... it is a shame that our city leaders decided to spend, spend and spend in the past three years. City employees have noted in the past few years that no elected officials ever looked or inquired into the city finances; yet continued to spend without any knowledge of city revenues available. Maybe each elected official should be required to take a course from Dave Ramsey (Financial Peace) to learn the basics of money management.

Susan Zemek is right! The signs/banners representing HCA reflect a private for-profit hospital....what is the difference in Ms. Zemek's signs/banners endorsing a private for-profit bi-annual consignment sale which donates profits to charities. When the city attorney states he will look into the matter.....it means lets stall for time until we can find some opinion somewhere that will get the city out of playing favorites. Continue your fight, Susan!!!

Spring Hill just threw away their claim to fame last night. The Taxpayer Bill of Rights made nationwide history, was a resolution that promised to the citizens of Spring Hill that taxes would not be raised without a public referendum. For the mayor to state it was illegal is irresponsible and incorrect. The resolution was unenforceable per law, however the resolution was much like a bible for governments to adhere to and live by. It is a sad day in Spring Hill!!!!

and also....

As a Spring Hill citizen I find it ironic that the Mayor has deemed two resolutions "illegal" that were approved by a prior board. First the two year mayoral term was declared "illegal" by the Mayor after city tax dollars were spent to get an "opinion" to state such and now another "opinion" declares the taxpayer bill of rights "illegal".....how convenient!!!
Does this mean that all the resolutions passed by our city board can be so easily tossed out just by getting an "opinion". The Taxpayer Bill of Rights was a promise to the citizens of Spring Hill that their taxes would not be raised unless approved by "citizens' approving a city-wide referendum. Can't help but wonder why our city leaders didn't do the right thing and put the city property rate increase up for vote in November? Were they afraid that the majority of Spring Hill citizens would vote "no"?
The citizens of Spring Hill need to demand that city leaders stick to their promise and hold a city-wide voting referendum to allow the citizens to determine if we need a property tax increase!!!!

Why aren't our city leaders doing the right thing and keeping their promise made when the Tax Payer Bill of Rights was approved by city officials Danny Leverette and Miles Johnson five years ago? Instead city leaders have opted to refer to an "opinion" by MTAS (club for city governments) stating the promise of the Taxpayer Bill of Rights is "illegal" or unenforceable. Simply put, our city leaders could easily carry out the promise of the Taxpayer Bill of Rights by holding a city wide voting referendum in Nov. (during the presidential election....no extra cost to citizens) and allow the citizens to determine if a tax increase is really needed or not. Citizens, demand that your city leaders do the right thing......YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

Wow! I am glad I am not on her bad side. Oh wait, maybe I am. I have a feeling that her distain for me will only increase as the months move along.

I am by no means in favor of higher taxes...in fact, it appalls me that financial shortfalls have been hidden and covered up for the last 8 years. I am furious that "good 'ol boys" from the previous regime continue to throw mud at those trying to shed light on our city's past indescressions. I am furious that previous elected officials LIED and twisted facts in order to mislead the public. The very reason that we are now having to RE-ISTITUTE this property tax at an increased rate is to pay back the money that previous city officials were hiding.

Let's start talking politics again. There is more deception flying around right now than at any time since I have lived in this city. I am sick of it!

Boy, If those comments are from Cindy Williams it really bothers you that she has the right to speak freely in this nation doesn't it. You must be stalking her on the internet to get all that material or are you doing more than just stalking her online?

Glass, all you ever talk about is the good ol' boys...guess what...you, Danny, Duda and all your little buddies are the good ol' boys. Everyone knows how you guys get the local police to drop DUIs and cut corners for all of you and how Danny gets houses he can't afford from developers that want schools placed so they benefit their subdivisions. You people are the ones that really make people SICK! You guys have turned local, small town politics into DC politics for no real reason, but to milk the system.

I guess Im a little confused on the origins and premise of your site compared to someone else commenting on the same fashion and not wanting their identity known.

Did your new position get to your head?

Michael Glass said "Who's signature is that on the FORGED budget ORDINANCE and who doctored the agendas and meeting minutes to make it look like the board passed the FORGED budget ORDINANCE when the deficits REALLY began?"

If I were Ms. Williams, I would be hiring an attorney and looking into a slander and/or internet stalking suit.

Why does he feel so threatened by her ? She has donm, and has done nothing to him.

Mr. Glass, I think you are a chicken. Why do you think you know everything ?

So, do you have permission from The Tennessean to reprint these coyrighted comments?
Also, are you aware that sniping at a private citizen can constitute harrasment and is in direct violation of the VAWA of 2005, to wit:
"VAWA 2005 criminalizes placing under surveillance with the intent to kill, injure, harass or intimidate another person in a way that causes the other person, spouse, immediate partner, or immediate family of that person to fear for death, or suffer substantial emotional distress. 18 USC § 2261A. This recognizes the harm and distress that surveillance by an abuser can cause. Being placed under surveillance can be paralyzing, as one is fearful of reprisals for conduct that is not agreeable to the watcher. In an abusive situation, where there is intent to control, surveillance -- and fear of surveillance -- is used to extend the control of the abusive party.

Criminalized are those who cross state lines for stalking purposes, or use the Internet or the mails in the stalking. Id. Increased penalties are provided for those who stalk while subject to a civil protection or restraining order. 18 USC § 2261(b).

VAWA 2005 also updated prohibitions on harassing telephone calls to include communications made using the internet. 47 USC § 223(h)(1)."

I would say that your internet stalking of her comments constitute stalking, with the intent to harrass and cause emotional distress, particularly since this is not your first snipe at her. I wonder how much money you and your family are prepared to use for a legal defense fund.

If I were you, I would remove all of this as quickly as possible and find something else to write about. This type of sniping is not very becomming for someone who holds a position of authority with the city.

So if I gather posts of one person and post them in one section and then critique them, that's considered stalking? Sounds like a bunch of crap to me.

The alleged Cindy Williams persona who posted these comments did so with the FULL KNOWLEDGE she was placing information to be read by anyone and everyone. Glass is not at fault for choosing to copy and paste them elsewhere, giving full attribution to the source.

Anonymous said...

Are you being serious accusing Michael Glass of stalking or is it a joke? The alleged Cindy wrote those stupid comments for the whole world to see, end of story. "Emotional Distress" BS!!!

If she lives in Brentwood, why on earth is she sticking her nose in Spring Hill politics anyways?

Hmmmm...I wonder if she plans to run for mayor?

Its funny how people start getting defensive and throwing out tangents to "lawsuits" and "stalking" for doing the same thing this site did for a long time in offering their own opinion on some of the most ridiculous statements and backtracking I've ever seen.

14:58 you can quote all of the BS law you want a persons opinion is their opinion whether they come to a blog or say it in a crowded room with the president in it.

"Sniping" or even drawing cartoons about public figures has been going on for hundreds of years.

Get over it. YAWN. Im bored with spring hill trash.

And for Glass (if thats who is really running this site) its time you had a gut check. You have flip flopped on just about everything you have written about just about the time after being appointed.

I've heard from several sources that Cindy Jobe is planning to run for Mayor.

Anonymous said...

I've heard the same for years, but for COUNTY mayor not for the city

Althought I think Cindy Jobe would be a GREAT mayor, she is probably a little too busy with her two year old to do so.

Okay, enough Cindy Williams bashing! I don't care where she lives now, she is a native of Spring Hill and the wife of the late Mayor, Ray Williams. She is only defending Ray's character as he is not able to do so.

I knew Ray personally and although I didn't agree with him on every issue, I always knew he had the best interest of Spring Hill at heart. He loved this town and was proud to call it home. His death was a great loss to Spring Hill.

I also have known Danny Leverette for many years and know that he was an ally to Ray for many years and a good friend. I have always thought a lot of Danny and his family. He is a good Christian man with values so I'm a little confused and upset over the finger pointed and blaming that seems to be going on now. What's up with that Danny? I'm shocked by your recent actions.

Also, why is it when a native is in office they are always referred to as the "good ole boys." Spoken like a true newcomer to our great state!

Don't get me wrong, I welcome anyone that wants to move here and enjoy the life that us "good ole boys" have been blessed with, but, why do you immediately start wanting to change things and complain? We are obviously doing something right for you to want to uproot your family and move here...why not just enjoy our lifestyle for awhile before you decide you want to fix things. We managed to survive long before you came and will do so long after you leave.

Please share when you have heard Mayor Leverette point fingers? Did you hear it or did you read it or what?

He has done it during public meetings.

How about that Audit Report

Anonymous said...

Seems to have verified what most of us, other than those conducting a witch hunt currently, thought...Mr. York and Mr. Williams were up to no good and put the city and its current leaders in a terrible position. Of course the Shanon Glenn folks will swear there is some conspiracy behind the report to protect the current administration.

Anonymous said...

Time to come clean. You guys are blaming everyone but yourselves. The STATE initiated this audit, and now you are trying to shift focus. Time for Leveratte, Duda, and Mitchell to go. Either you were too stupid to run the city and let others get away with this illegal BS or you were party to it and that is why you heaped praise and hush money on Mr. York when he had had enough.

Don't bother telling us the truth, we will find out soon enough.

Phase 2 is about to begin.

Anonymous said...

"The STATE initiated this audit, and now you are trying to shift focus."

From the state auditors themselves

"The Division of Municipal Audit undertook this investigative audit at the request of the mayor and members of the board of aldermen."

Are you suggesting that this is a lie?

Anonymous said...

Witch Hunt?
Look at the Audit and you will see most of the findings have been in the last few years. The Witch's broom should be used to clean house. Read TCA Section 7-34-115(a) Subsection (f), the State may clean house for us under title 8, chapter 47. We all know the one which talks about the bad smell first is usually the one that caused it.

Anonymous said...

A lie? No. The state performed the audit at the request of the mayor and aldermen, but page one of the title letter reads, "This investigative audit focused on the period May 1, 2007, through October 31, 2007.

However when the examination warranted, this scope was expanded."

If the mayor's office invited the audit, he did not expect the audit to 'expand' it's scope, Dycus (the auditor) did that on behalf of the state did that, not the city.

Also, the issues went on for years after Mayor Leverette took office. Why did he send home York with $20,000 in his pocket? Why did he take so long to fix the problems? Why did he address the issues only AFTER the audit had begun? How could he be running a city but not know what was going on in his own office? Anyone buy that for a minute?

Ken York was never mayor. The people elected Leverette. Now it's time for him to go home. He blew it. He blew our money. He blew our trust.

Conspiracy? No.

Complicity? YOU BET.

Competency? Not Danny Leverette, that's for sure.

OUSTER. OUSTER. OUSTER. CALL THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, ROBERT COOPER, JR., TODAY! (615) 741-3491. DEMAND PROTECTION FROM THIS MAN-WE NEED HIM GONE.

4 more years? Spring Hill shouldn't have to suffer through 4 more months. Get him out!

Anonymous said...

One small note: Eliot never opted to give Ken York any money when he left. Eliot was the one who made that a seperate issue so that he could vote against giving the money.

Anonymous said...

Shannon Glen conspiracy? Those folks will want to see the missing PC meeting minutes. Glass and Co. are saying that the plan that they are working on will solve the planning problems because it will take large sections of land and designate it a particular zone. What good will that do if the city doesn't update the maps? The city maps available to Shannon Glen folks showed that the property next to them was residential, but, oops, the city had changed the zoning but didn't update the maps. Conspiracy on behalf of Shannon Glenn or the Mayor and his developer buddies?

Without Leverette, Duda, and Mitchell, this would still be going on and the city would be digging a deeper hole for us all to climb out of. My only regret is that Mr. York was allowed to spin his web as long as he did.

By the time that the people you mention above finally uncovered the truth, much of the damage was already done. I cannot tell you how many times I sat in meeting and listened to Mr. York tell the BOMA that the city had more than enough money to cover a certain expense.

There should have been seperation of powers from the beginning. One person was controlling FAR too many strings in this city. When you have a "part time" mayor, the City Administrator controls an awful lot of power if he/she is not kept in check.
