There has been a special meeting called by Mayor Leverette for this Thurday evening @ 6:30 pm. This is a meeting of the BOMA to specifically discuss the issue of re-apportionment. It is open to the public if you are interested in attending, so we may see you there.
To all of you that have been helping to keep this in the forefront...Thank you!

Koko,
You may want to share in the same calming measures prescribed to TENSCVOLS:
Williamson AM Article regarding the BOMA Special Called Meeting
Agreed. Too much influence by Columbia and the "old school" ways of that area. We need to be Spring Hill...not north Columbia.
It takes the Williamson AM atleast 4 days to get something added to the paper. Did you know the little community sections are written 11 days in advance? So, if anything in the community happens you have to wait. I'm hoping The Herald will become what the Review Appeal used to be beforethe Tennessean bought it. Now we just get lists, lists, and too many advertisements. By no means is this paper meant to be community minded or informational. Thanks for letting me vent.
THE FILMING OF THE BOMA MEETINGS IS DONE BY THE CABLE COMPANY OUT OF COLUMBIA, TN. THEY ARE NOT HIRED BY THE CITY TO DO SO. ANY COMPANY OR NEWS ORGINAZATION HAS THE RIGHT TO TAPE AND BROADCAST THE MEETING IF THEY SO DESIRE. SO FIND SOMEONE TO TAPE IT FOR YOU OR ASK YOUR CABLE PROVIDER TO DO IT.
What about a podcast? This would be handy for folks who cant make the meetings! I think our humble blogger would be an excellent moderator for a week in review show as well. Maybe some sitdown interviews with the Mayor and other city leaders. This way we can understand where everyone is coming from. Why not also broadcast it on our cable outlets as well? Could a live call in show be also be on the horizon? Present your questions...get their answers on the spot...Just a thought!
Might be asking a lot to soon for some of that.
I mean they just started showing some slides at the planning commission meetings so people would have some idea of the area the board is looking at.
And at some of the meetings I've noticed as much talking in the crowd as the memebers. That might cause a little back ground noise. ??
What do you guys think?
For podcasting the meeting you would take the output from the city leaders microphones for a clean feed. That way background noise would not be heard.
For podcasting the week in review it would be an organized preproduced show, answering the questions many people come to this site to ask.
I wonder if the state of Tennessee would grant the money for the equipment needed?
