BOMA meeting aired LIVE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

May 1, 2006 Spring Hill, TN - Charter Communications announced today a commitment of public service to the City of Spring Hill and the surrounding communities whereby they will begin televising the Spring Hill City Council Meetings on Charter Main Street TV, Charter Channel 6. The televised meetings will begin with the regular Board of Mayor and Alderman meeting in May 2006.

Charter Communications has been an innovator for the communications industry with it’s accelerated deployment of broadband products like High Definition TV, Digital Television, and High-Speed Internet to its mostly rural service areas here in Middle Tennessee. The residents of Spring Hill have seen extraordinary growth in the past few years making it one of the fastest growing communities in the entire nation. With such growth and development, it’s easy to understand the unique challenges that the City as well as business must face daily to continue to provide a “quality of life” for residents.

Charter Communications is excited to be a part of this community and embraces the opportunity it presents. Our local employees are able to bring the citizens of Spring Hill the local City Council Meetings right into their own homes. Sean Hendrix, Operations Manager for Spring Hill said, “This isn’t something we have to do. Charter WANTS to do this because we know this benefits the entire community. At the very least, it’s going to allow residents to see its local government working for them.”

Beginning with the May 15th Board of Mayor and Alderman Meeting, Charter Communications will start coverage of Spring Hill’s Council meetings. The sessions will be recorded live and aired throughout the month, on Charter Main Street’s Channel 6. The premiere will air May 19th at 6pm CT with additional replays on Saturday May 20th at 2pm CT, and Monday May 22nd at 8pm CT. Scheduled replays will follow the regular monthly meetings, on Fridays at 6pm, Saturdays at 2pm and Mondays at 8pm. The schedule will also be listed in advance on Channel 6.

Sorry guys... I'll give you credit when it's due, but this process began many months ago with informal discussions with Mr. York and the Mayor. The plans finally came together. Anyway... we're glad to do it!
