March 20th Candidate Meet and Greet

From The Informer: What's happening in Spring Hill?
By Lisa Beard

Meeting the candidates
The Greater Spring Hill Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a "meet and greet" of the candidates for alderman in Spring Hill Tuesday, March 20 from 5:30pm until 7:00pm at Best Western in their meeting room. Candidates will have 5 minutes each to let you know how long they have lived in Spring Hill and their occupation. It will also give a chance to talk with each candidate individually since there will not be a list of prepared questions. Light refreshments will be served and the community is invited.

"5 minutes each to let you know how long they have lived in Spring Hill and their occupation"

Did anybody else catch that?

Hasn't Lisa Beard now started 3 different chambers? Hasn't she been tossed from 2 of them?

I would like to put a public debate together if the other candidates are willing to participate. Maybe we can get the Gorilla to moderate it??? Should be fun and it would give us all the opportunity to explain our political agendas and allow the residents to compare us at one shot.

What does everyone think? I know we are all at least reading this.

What's telling is how fast this group of individuals bolted from the Spring Hill Chamber, to form another chamber, when an indictment was handed down for embezzling funds. According to Lisa Beard they
cited dissatisfaction with the direction of the chamber. Wasn't this group the leadership of the Chamber during Mrs. Duncan's tenure?

Former treasurer charged with embezzlement
SPRING HILL The former treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce has been indicted by the Maury County Grand Jury and charged with embezzling more than 10,000. Jamie Duncan, 29, was the chamber's treasurer throughout 2005........
