Commitments Indeed!

In thursday's Williamson Herald, Ward 3 and 4 candidates are profiled. Below is a direct quote from Sharron Cantrell's provided response:

Main campaign message: Politicians are elected to represent the will of the people who voted them into office and not special interest groups.

Below is a list of contributions taken directly from Sharron Cantrell's Campaign Financial Disclosure Statement:
Don Cameron (Developer) - $500
Monica Raines (Realtor) - $200
Carol Raines (Spouse of Developer Charles Raines) - $200
Boyce Magli (Realtor/Developer) - $100
Cheryl Magli (Spouse of Realtor/Developer Boyce Magli) - $100
Mary Crutcher (Spouse of Realtor/Developer Pete Crutcher) - $500
Ashley Pratt (Spouse of Developer Trey Pratt, Donnie Cameron's Partner) - $200
Carolyn Pratt (Spouse of Developer Sam Pratt, Donnie Cameron's Parnter) - $200

UPDATE
Below is a list of contributions taken directly from
Jim Gabriel's Campaign Financial Disclosure Statement:
Don Cameron (Developer) - $500
Monica Raines (Realtor) - $200
Charles Raines - $200
Ben Gary (Auctioneer/Realtor) - $200
Mary Crutcher (Spouse of Realtor/Developer Pete Crutcher) - $500
Ashley Pratt (Spouse of Developer Trey Pratt, Donnie Cameron's Partner) - $200
Carolyn Pratt (Spouse of Developer Sam Pratt, Donnie Cameron's Parnter) - $200

Folks, that's $2,000 of donations from SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS donating to both Sharron Cantrell AND Jim Gabriel. The same group that we exposed meeting in secret last month with four sitting aldermen.

Is there any wonder why Sharron Cantrell feels that a school on Cleburne Road is a good idea? I can give you about 500 reasons from Pete Crutcher, the developer of this project.

Is there any question why Sharron Cantrell and Jim Gabriel would choose to go to a secret meeting thrown by the very developers who are financing her campaign instead of going to a concerned citizens meeting on Denning Lane held at the same time?

I'm beginning to understand more of what those 'commitments' are that Charlie Schoenbrodt refered to in his recent article in the informer (see the post At IT Again!):

From my experience, candidates work together when they have similar interests and commitments.

Commitments indeed!

It only gets more tangled from here. Stay tuned!

I just can't stop shaking my head.

By the way Gorilla, I hear congratulations are in order.

Keep up the good work, I know you have your hands full!

Maybe they had a "back room" at the secret meeting where they passed out the checks.

VOTE!!!!!

Well, a majority of the checks from the Franklin based developers are dated March 6 and 7

First, anyone one who would accept money from a crook is a disgrace. I am suprised that D.C. only contributed $500 to Sharon's campaign considering how much money she made him in the past and could in the future if re-elected. Open your eyes Spring Hill, I hope the money contributers listed here show you where a certain alderwoman's interest lies. We need her out!!

Did Sharon and Jim not realize this was public information. These people are clueless, just another reason they dont deserve a vote!!

Looks like Charlie and Cindy were the only participants of the secret meeting that did not contribute. I wonder why they did did not open up thier pockets. I bet they would have if they were a developer or realtor or sister or wife of a developer.

So where is the information on the other people running? Some of them have spent a lot more money than these two. I would like to see who gave them money as well.

You can go look at anyones contribution list that turned it in. Just go click on their name and see any of them for yourself. The only candidates I do not see are Brandon McCulloch, Viola Pickard and Tamra Mezera. Everyone else turned in their contribution list as they are required.

Many people complain but very few vote. All this talk for the past few months means nothing if the number of voters doesn't increase. It would be the same voters electing the same people.

Participate by encouraging your neighbors to go vote.

According to the Spring Hill Journal:

"If early voting is any indication, this year's race for aldermen is red hot. In fact, more people cast votes in the first four days of early voting than did in the entire early voting period four years ago..."

It's a little better than that DRM. The early voter turnout this time was higher then the ENTIRE turnout for the election 4 years ago.

Tomorrow will be fun.

Hey Gorilla in the dense fog,
Rick Graham spent the most in Ward 3- Spending: $5,073.51...
why don't you post his breakdown?
or the other top spenders per ward?
Do you really have nothing better to do than pick on couple candidates when there were many others?

Charlie, face it - you lost. Again. Not that we expect you to, but it's time to move on with your life. To my knowledge, Rick spent his ow money.
